mission accomplished

my oldest sister and her family just moved in to a new house.

with this new house my sister is going for a cottage/victorian kind of look.
we started with the master bedroom.

it started as a yucky brown color.
a brown that nothing looked good with.
our solution?
blue.
a really pretty pale but bold blue.

its kind of hard to see the real blue but get the idea, right?

once we got that blue on the walls, we had to think of something that would be elegant but not too feminine (for the hubby's sake) that would pop, to put on the wall that the bed will be on.
our solution?
a stencil and the perfect gold paint.

we were both very happy with the ending result.
it shimmered the way that we were imagining and its going to go perfect with the theme.

i cant wait to see what the whole bedroom will look like when we are finished!
